Okay...so if you are a regular follower you probably are wondering where have I been? Well, as most of you know, due to the fact that you are constantly late to work or the fact that it takes 15 minutes now to get through town it is planting season here in south GA! It is definitely in full bloom!! I can't believe all the tractors I have gotten behind this week!! I just laughed to myself because it seemed I was trying to run them over just to get to my tractor! Isn't that what you call ironic?
Anyway...I don't know who has lost more of his/her mind...my husband or me... He has decided to let me plant cotton for him this season! I tell you if it hasn't been one thing it has been another! Flat tires, missing parts, messed up hoppers...but somehow it gets done right...Praise the Good Lord!!
I am loving seeing the cotton start to "pop" up!!

Organizing Tip # 23 - Go through old photos
Take the time this summer to go through old photos! You will love the memories...plus it is a good time to take out the doubles (if you had these made) and give them to friends and family members!! I recently was looking through some pictures only to realize that I hadn't even given away some photos I purchased for others... Crazy me!!

Organizing Tip #22 - My Closet
Okay, so I am finally finished cleaning out my closet. Boy, you know you are in trouble when you still have shoeboxes for shoes that you have already thrown away! However, as part of my organizing task, I threw out the boxes. I also found a few clothes that I didn't wear anymore and I got those out of my closet!
Here is what my closet looked like before I started cleaning it out!! I can't believe I am showing you guys this picture!
Here is my after picture! Sorry this isn't the best picture!
My first task was storing all of the winter clothes and blankets (I love blankets)! I bought the two most beautiful hampers at Ross. They are a weaved style with fabric lids. I have one in my room and one in my kitchen area. (I know this sounds wierd, but it really blends well!) You would never guess they are full with winter clothing!
I also arranged my clothes by type and color!
Next, I went through my jewerly. I do have a jewerly box, but recently I purchased a jewerly organizer at Steinmart! Isn't this the cutest thing? I think it makes my closet look cute and it is so useful! I can actually see my jewerly, scarves, and sunglasses! I can see my opinions and pick out something quickly!! I still keep my "better" jewerly in my jewerly box.
My new laundry hamper came form Ross! (I told you I am loving this store!! My local store gets items in each day!! Isn't this great??) My hamper matches perfect. It is black with a black and white pokadot interior! It was only $7.99!! I thought this was an awesome buy!!
The shoe/purse holder came from Target!! I didn't get this on a great sale, but the colors matched so well I just couldn't resist!! (I think I saved like a $1.49 haha) This shoe holder is terrific because it is extremely long! This means I can easily fit one or more pair of shoes in each compartment.
The only thing I regret with my closet is that I didn't purchase more of these hangers. I can hang up to 4 pairs of pants on each hanger! I really liked the way this looked!! It just looks organized!!
I finished up by placing my shopping basket on top of my shelf. (That way I can grab it as I head out the door.) I also put my decor boxes in an organized fashion. Each box has different items in them. Like one has ties, one has my larger fashion accesories, etc. I also added in some picture frames .... and that is my closet!! There are still a few more things I want to do...but there is only so much time! When I do more I will let you know!! Any suggestions...
I would love to see some before and after pictures of your closet!! Feel free to send them to me at livebettersavemore@gmail.com!! I might just post them!!
Also, please leave me a comment letting me know if you are enjoying the organizing part of this website. I really want to inspire and encourage my readers! I want to give you guys the information you want...so let me know what you want!!
